Pulling Faces

Wanted to try a little series of drawings to see if I could maintain consistency. Of course Rebecca makes a perfect subject as she loves pulling faces and getting her photo taken and the iPhone is just perfect to take quick snaps like this. A bit of fun and am quite happy with the result.

Sketchbook Pansies

Some more sketchbook studies, this time pansies,  I love the intense colours patterns of these flowers, they also have such a long flowering time.  In these studies I have tried to relinquish a bit of control over the outcome.

CAT STUDIES (for Judith)

Love cats and when asleep they make wonderful subjects to draw. I do draw them when not asleep but generally only manage a few quick lines, a bit like drawing children (which I also try) they become studies of perpetual momentum. I do love the art of quick sketching you get such lovely lines ’cause well …… you just have to go for it and let it happen.
